Selvaraghavan's Tamil film with Telugu star

Rana Daggubatti, the grand son of veteran Telugu film producer D. Ramanaidu, would soon be debuting in Tamil films as hero in a film to be made by the mercurial film-maker Selvaraghavan.  Rana’s ‘Leader’, which released recently in Telugu, has been declared as a superhit movie.

The mega-budget film planned by Selvaa to launch Rana in Tamil would also be releasing in Telugu simultaneously.  Selvaa has reportedly been paid a ‘huge amount’ as advance to direct the Rana film.  Earlier reports said that the film would have music by G.V. Prakash Kumar and would pair up the beautiful Andrea Jeremiah, who starred in Selvaa’s Aayirathil Oruvan, opposite Rana.

Refuting that Andrea, reportedly the main reason behind Selvaa’s split with his actress-wife Sonia Aggarwal and the subsequent divorce, would play the heroine in the film, Selvaa has said that a newcomer would be introduced as the heroine opposite Rana.

Once he completes Vikram’s film for which the shooting has been going on at present, Selvaa would start work on Rana’s film.  Meanwhile, Rana has said that he’s thrilled to bits to star in a direct Tamil film and added that he had ‘great confidence’ in Selvaa.

Selvaraghavan has already directed a super-duper hit film in Telugu with Venkatesh in the lead.
